Why Keeping Up to Date with Your Accounting is Important for Your Lawn Care Business

One of the things I had to learn when I was first starting was how important keeping up to date with your accounting is.

I had a bookkeeper early on, and as you’ll see in this video, unfortunately due to lack of experience, I lost a lot of money.

 

Not only did I lose money, but the IRS got involved, and I almost lost my business due to the accounting situation. The good thing is, the IRS were more than helpful and worked with me to sort (after some embarrassing letters to clients, that is).

The thing is, you don’t need to make the mistakes I made, either. Get a good CPA, or - better still - accounting software like QuickBooks, because that helps with the payroll part of your accounting.

This has saved my business a whole load of money, and means I can get my invoices out quickly, and have them paid online just as quickly.
